Plastic bags have been found to affect our environment in many ways. This bag is not considered to have the ability to biodegrade rapidly. It has been found repeatedly, that birds, such as seagulls and others have remnants of a plastic bag in their stomach. They apparently are mistaken for food. Bags add to the problem of garbage everywhere we go. They have become entangled in bushes, flowers, trees, have been seen blowing into a car travelling on the road. All of this can not work with microorganisms to be biodegradable. There is a possibility that the manufacturers can come up with a plastic bag that will be able to not harm the environment. Tests and studies are being conducted.
