A Specific Exercise Program For Scoliosis Curvature

If you are suffering from scoliosis, it is important to follow a specific exercise program. A properly executed exercise program will prevent your scoliosis from worsening and may even restore your spine’s normal curvature.

Before you begin any idiopathic exercise program, be sure to speak with your doctor to ensure that it is appropriate for you and safe. There are many different exercises that can be used to treat scoliosis, but the most effective one for each individual depends on their specific condition.

To determine which exercises are right for you, ask yourself the following questions:

-How severe is my scoliosis?

-What level of activity do I typically engage in?

-What pain levels do I experience?

-How flexible am I?

-Am I willing to devote time and effort to following a prescribed exercise program?

Once you have answered these questions, you can begin working on an individualized exercise plan. However, there are some general guidelines that should always be followed when exercising to reduce the risk of injury:

Start with gentle stretches before exercising. Stretching will warm up your muscles and increase flexibility. Stretch regularly throughout your workout.

How long should the training last before improvement is seen?

However, most experts recommend beginning treatment with a tailored program that includes regular sessions for around six months. After this initial period of stabilization, it may be beneficial to continue attending group or individual workouts as long as they don't cause further injury.
