Skin Tightening Treatments – Do Non-Surgical Methods Work?

All of us over 30-40 notice our facial skin starting to sag and relax, and many of us wish our skin could look firmer and younger. An objective comparison between a well-done surgical facelift and the results of a non-surgical skin tightening treatment shows that the best skin tightening treatment only achieves 20-30% of the standard facelift results.

The results of tightening the skin on the abdomen and arms are at best 20% of what can be achieved surgically by pulling the stomach or lifting the arm. You can also get the best skin tightening services via https://newagelaser.com/skin-tightening/

How does the skin tightening procedure work?

As we age, our skin loses its elasticity. Elasticity keeps our skin close to the face and body. Elasticity depends on collagen and elastin, two components of the deeper layer of skin, the dermis. Elastin and collagen, which are responsible for tightening the skin, are located in the deepest part of the skin, just above the layer of fat that lies beneath our skin.

When collagen is heated to 66 degrees Celsius, it shrinks and the skin tightens. This is known as remodeling and occurs months after the collagen is heated.

The method of all these machines is to heat the collagen in the skin to cause the collagen to shrink and reshape, resulting in skin tightening. To achieve this deep skin heating, radio frequency energy, infrared energy or a combination of both is transmitted to the skin for heating and collagen reconstruction. This device has an advanced cooling device to cool the skin surface to avoid burns as the energy flows through the skin into the dermis.

How effective is this treatment?

This infrared and RF treatment heals the skin. However, for visible results, usually 3-4 treatments are required, planned every 4-6 weeks. In my experience, a value of 20-30% is the best I can achieve.

The most obvious example of the benefits of my experience is that up to 6 months after the picture I have to show the patient the picture before the picture to see the difference. This is distinctly different from the results of a face or stomach lift, where the patient will notice a significant change in skin color immediately after surgery.
